Blue Mountain College boasts an exceptional Department of Education for students who seek to earn a degree in education. Faculty members bring a combination of solid Christian faith and years of experience – from pre-school to graduate school – to the classroom. With high standards of teaching and learning, BMC continues to build on its education program for a greater impact on the teaching profession, the communities in which we live and work, and thousands of children whose lives are touched by BMC graduates.
Our education degree program includes undergraduate majors in elementary education and secondary education.
For those pursuing a degree in elementary education, students can choose from
Kindergarten – Grade 3 teaching certificate
Kindergarten – Grade 6 teaching certificate
For those seeking a degree in secondary education, students can earn a Grade 7 – 12 teaching certificate in
Social studies education
In the secondary education fields of physical education, music education, and Spanish education, students may obtain a teaching certificate in Kindergarten - Grade 12.
We also offer graduate level programs with three master of education degrees

Literacy and Reading – Kindergarten – Grade 12
