2023 Membership

A new way to support the "GROW BMC" initiative is by becoming a member of our 2023 Society. Members of this group are asked to contribute at least $20.23 per month to GROW BMC in recognition of the College's upcoming 150th anniversary. Since each student's tuition pays for less than one half of the cost for their education, monthly gifts play an important role in making up that cost difference and in keeping tuition rates affordable for our students.

BLUESOUND Instruments

Established in 2016, the Blue Mountain College band program has more than doubled since first taking the stage. For BLUESOUND to continue to grow, the band must have additional instruments. Many of our potential students players do not own personal instruments yet still desire to be a part of what's happening here. Additionally, providing student players access to instruments also allows them the opportunity to play, while in college, with local church bands and orchestras. This is a great extension of the Blue Mountain College Community!

Patterson Hall

In Fall 2017 BMC enrolled more than 600 students through its GROW BMC initiative. A 33% growth in enrollment over a two-year period demands a well-maintained physical plant that can attract and accommodate a thriving student population.

Not since 1967 has the College celebrated the construction of a new residence hall. Rapid growth in the number of residential students (a 40% increase over a five-year span) has warranted reliance upon temporary housing structures as the College puts into place plans for a permanent facility-a facility that will bear the name Patterson Hall.

Gifts to support the construction of Patterson Hall will enable Blue Mountain College to add a 190-bed facility in a location contiguous to the heart of the campus at a time when the College is experiencing unprecedented growth.

Chaplaincy Internships

The Chaplaincy Internship Program is designed to give students who are exploring vocational Christian ministry an opportunity for hands-on experience. Through the partnership with Baptist Memorial Hospital of Union County, students shadow an experienced Chaplain to learn practices of caring, teaching, and leading. The goal of the program is to connect Biblical Studies with practical ministries so students understand more fully their calling and various aspects of Christian ministry.

Sportsplex Lights

Without lights, all practice and games must take place during daylight hours. This requires the student athletes to miss more classes. Also, allowing games to be played at night will enhance attendance and make BMC eligible to host post season tournaments as well as tournaments for local high school teams.

Science Equipment

Merit Water Still: Faculty teaching science courses on the third floor of Lowrey currently supply their own distilled water by hauling gallons of water from local stores up the stairs. The water still produces up to 4 liters a water per hour.

Picospin 45 Series II NMR Spectrometer: The NMR has been considered a necessary part of organic and biochemistry for years, so obtaining this small tabletop instrument would update our labs in organic and biochemistry without requiring much space.

Nicolet IS 5 FT-IR Spectrometer: Infrared spectrometry is considered a required technique in modern organic chemistry. This compact device would greatly enhance our laboratory offerings in chemistry.
