(More complete details concerning commencement preparation and services will be provided by the Registrar prior to each degree date.)
1. APPLICATION FOR DEGREE
Each candidate for degree must submit an electronic application for degree to the Registrar by September 15, 2024 for December graduation or February 15, 2025 for May graduation.
(There is no summer graduation. If you are completing your degree in July or August, you will participate in the May graduation.)
2. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETION OF GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
By your degree date (December 14, 2024; May 10, 2025; July 25, 2025; or August 17, 2025), all of your work for your degree must be final and on file in the Office of the Registrar. YOU, THE STUDENT, ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING THAT ALL REQUIREMENTS ARE MET BEFORE THE GRADUATION DATE.
Off-campus courses - Independent study (correspondence) courses (and any other credit earned at another college or university) must be completed, and a transcript of the credit MUST be on FILE at Blue Mountain Christian University by your graduation date.
Incomplete courses - An "incomplete" grade is the equivalent of an "F" as far as hours and quality points are concerned; therefore, an "incomplete" grade in a course needed to fulfill a degree requirement will postpone your graduation to the next available degree date. NO student will be awarded a degree if work is still "incomplete".
3. ORDER FOR ACADEMIC REGALIA
All students who are completing degree requirements December 2024, May 2025, and July/August 2025, must participate in the commencement service. The rental fee for 2024-2025 will be included in the $120/$135 graduation fee. Requests for measurements for the regalia will be sent to candidates for degrees by email prior to commencement service.
4. GRADUATION FEE OF $120/$135
Each candidate for degree should pay the graduation fee during the last term/semester of enrollment prior to graduation.
5. COMMENCEMENT TICKETS

6. COMMENCEMENT SERVICE
As is stated in the Blue Mountain Christian University Catalog, only degrees earned through distance learning may be conferred in absentia. All other candidates for degrees completing degree requirements in December 2024, May 2025, and July/August 2025, MUST participate in the commencement service. A student who is unable to be present due to an emergency situation must present his/her reason in writing to Dr. Sharon Enzor, Provost, before his/her degree can be awarded. Specific times of the commencement service(s) will be announced prior to each commencement service.
