    Faculty Positions Available @ BMCU


    Dean of the School of Business


    POSITION SUMMARY: The Dean of Business is the chief administrative officer of the school that includes graduate and undergraduate programs. The role of the Dean includes both administrative and leadership functions. As such, his or her responsibilities are to have ultimate oversight of and accountability for administrative aspects of the operation of the school, to

    represent the school and serve as its liaison with other administrative units within the University, and to provide leadership for the school in formulating long-range plans and assessment procedures based on a shared vision of the goals of the school.


    TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-Time Position, Twelve-Month Appointment; Assignment to academic rank will be commensurate with experience and education.


    DATE OF APPOINTMENT: August 13, 2025

    REQUIREMENTS: The ability to articulate and support the Christian mission of the institution; earned doctorate in the discipline; preferred professional experience appropriate to the discipline; excellent computer and educational technology skills; proven administrative skills; ability to work relationally and collaboratively with internal and external constituents.


    RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual will serve as the chief administrative officer of the School of Business including both administrative and departmental leadership functions; have ultimate oversight of and accountability for administrative aspects of the operation of the school; represent the school and serve as its liaison with other administrative units within the University; and provide leadership for the school in formulating strategic plans and assessment procedures based on a shared vision of the goals of the school and the University. The individual will teach a wide variety of undergraduate Business Administration courses and graduate courses included in the MBA. Among the courses taught may be Business Communications, Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship, and International Marketing. Applicant should exhibit both an interest in an ability to teach a wide variety of courses in an undergraduate business administration program and in the MBA. The candidate will work with other faculty members and students in curriculum development, student advising, and student placement. The individual will assist with recruitment and marketing the majors.

    Director of the Teaching & Learning Center


    POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) coordinates the activities of the Blue Mountain Christian University Teaching and Learning Center (TLC), which are designed to prioritize and support teaching and learning at BMCU. 


    TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time position; Assignment to academic rank will be commensurate with experience and education.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director supports teaching by assisting with the process of planning and facilitating faculty professional development; maintaining resources relevant to instruction for use by faculty; coordinating course design and production of corresponding syllabi; facilitating the use of innovative instructional methods; and advancing the effective practice of reflection and assessment to promote academic excellence and continuous improvement. 

    The Director supports learning by managing the TLC staff and resources to provide academic support for BMCU students during the fall and spring terms; coordinating peer tutoring across a wide range of academic content areas; maintaining resources relevant to learning for use by students; managing a system by which faculty, coaches, and administrators may refer students for extra help; pairing referred students with academic coaches; monitoring progress of at-risk students; and planning, hosting, and facilitating learning skills seminars (based on observed need). 

    The Director works cooperatively with BMCU administrators to support efforts to evaluate and enhance teaching and learning practices within the framework of a Christian Worldview. In addition, the Director teaches EDU 101 Empower: Strategies for Academic Success each semester. 


    QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in an appropriate teaching field and at least five years of full-time teaching experience at the college level (or at least three years of full-time teaching experience at the college level in addition to five or more years teaching at the secondary level). The candidate must have extensive knowledge of teaching and learning and related areas of research as demonstrated by publications in academic journals, participation in workshops, and conference presentations. In addition, administrative experience is desired, preferably in faculty development or teaching support centers.

    Staff Positions Available @ BMCU


    Maintenance Staff Position

    Position Summary: The Maintenance Staff is charged with keeping the campus running smoothly. Responsibilities include but are not limited to repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines. Tasks include minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs; painting, flooring repair and upkeep, and heating and air conditioning system maintenance. Being a maintenance worker requires light trouble shooting abilities for a variety of different types of machinery and equipment.


    Essential Functions:

    • Respond to work orders promptly;

    • Clean up after completing work orders;

    • Conduct daily inspection of buildings and grounds per outlined schedule;

    • Complete preventive maintenance items per schedule;

    • Assist in event setups;

    • Assist with security and write parking tickets as needed;


    Other Responsibilities:

    Perform such other duties which may from time to time be assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and the Chief Operating Officer.
